Handcrafted in our Malvern studio, this safari animal birthday cake features fully edible hand-sculpted cute animal figures – zebra, elephant, giraffe and more – each one shaped and detailed individually by hand with the soft, rounded character styling that makes them completely irresistible to little ones. The animals sit together on top of a lush green cake finished with a wooden fence border, tropical leaf details and a cheerful jungle scene that brings the whole safari world to the party table. The birthday child’s name and age are personalised into the base, and the whole design is bright, joyful and full of the warmth that makes this one of our most popular kids birthday cakes.

At Runaway Cupcakes, we have been creating custom cakes in Melbourne since 2015, and our bakers are Royal Melbourne Show Blue Ribbon winners. Every animal figure is individually hand-sculpted with its own colour, expression and personality – the kind of careful, considered craft that makes a toddler point at each one with pure delight the moment they see the cake.
