Handcrafted in our Malvern studio, this Nightmare Before Christmas cake is built around a fully edible hand-sculpted Jack Skellington figure – impossibly tall, impossibly detailed, holding a pumpkin aloft as he stands on a dramatic dark sculpted hillside covered in hand-textured grey and black fondant. Edible pumpkins are scattered across the base, twisted trees curl up from the landscape and the whole scene captures the gothic, whimsical atmosphere of Halloween Town with extraordinary precision. Every single element – the figure, the landscape, the pumpkins, the trees – is shaped entirely by hand and fully edible. This is the kind of cake that makes a room go completely silent the moment it arrives.

At Runaway Cupcakes, we have been creating custom cakes in Melbourne since 2015, and our bakers are Royal Melbourne Show Blue Ribbon winners.
